Activities at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
Our dedicated activities team are constantly dreaming up new and wonderful ways to support and stimulate the residents we look after. From trips to crafts, parties to skittles, musical performances and quizzes, we include something for everyone and pride ourselves on including everyone into the fun. We have a brilliant team of volunteers who help us to deliver more trips, support us at events and pop in for a cup of tea and chat. We have pet therapy at least once per week (sometimes twice!) and we take advantage of every school break by holding large scale events that we can invite families with children to. We have been developing ties with our neighbours since we first opened and thanks to this, we have successfully brought together our residents with local churches, choirs, Brownies groups, and schools. Whatever your interests are, here at Braeburn, there's something for everyone.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Braeburn Lodge Care Home
The Banjo Man
What a wonderful afternoon we all had listening to The Banjo Man. We were singing, dancing and having a good ol' chuckle at his little anecdotes. Happy days and happy birthday to one of our residents!
Summer Holiday Competition
We had a summer holiday competition here at Braeburn Lodge. Residents got creative and designed a masterpiece, a 3D collage of a seaside scene. We had a great time creating it!
Wow! What a Fantastic Summer Fete We Had This Year!
The weather was wonderful. Many people from the local community visited us and together we has an amazing time. There were plenty of interesting activities planned, including a BBQ.
The Dream Dancers wowed us with their dance routines. We had the largest attendance and raised a lot of money towards our residents' fund! Thanks to everyone for the kind generosity.
Our Divisional Winner
Well done to Zara Cooke, who was named as a Divisional Winner in the Carer of the Year category for the 2019 Barchester Care Awards.
National Cream Tea Day
We celebrated National Cream Tea Day with fruit scones, jam and clotted cream. But our dilemma: how is scone pronounced, and should it be jam first or cream?
Music with Trudie
We were joined by Trudie, who provided residents with some wonderful musical entertainment.
