Activities at Chestnut Gardens Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Rikardas Cirunas

Activities Co Ordinator

Hello, my name is Rikardus and I am the Activities Co-ordinator at Chestnut Gardens Care Home.

I have worked for Barchester for five years and was so excited to be part of such a excellent team at this beautiful home.

Every day I look forward to supporting our residents in living a full and enriched life and especially enjoy the outdoor activities that we arrange to the local attractions, even if the weather can be unpredictable at times.

We also hold loads of varied internal activities so everyone is catered for and the musicians and therapy animals are a very big hit.

The session introduced a range of Museum collections and objects for our participants to inspire engagement. The objects facilitated fun discussions, laughter and engagement between our residents and the local community.

We look forward to welcoming back Museum of Croydon to Chestnut Gardens 19th October.
