Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Elain Carey
Hi. My name is Elain and I help to deliver the daily programme of activities and entertainment and celebrations - there is always a birthday to celebrate! I like to see residents making friends and chatting with each other. I have a background in dance, music and acting, and I am also a qualified Zumba instructor, so I love it when we have entertainers in the home. We also have regular visits by therapy pets which residents find very relaxing.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Young Work Experience
Here at Claremont Parkway, we are delighted to welcome ‘Max’ from Stamford Welland Academy for a week of work experience. Since joining us on Monday, Max has assisted with activity sessions, supported the home maintenance team and provided invaluable intergenerational conversation with our residents.
We’re all loving his chats, smiles and overall enthusiasm to get to know what life in our home consists of. From assisting with activities, helping the hospitality team at lunch and getting stuck in with sanding and painting the garden benches ready for our Summer Fete... Max isn’t work shy, he's becoming a top member of the team!

A Spot of Retail Therapy
Our resident Ambassador Sally loves spending time with Carer Karen, and there's nothing better than a Costa Coffee after a little retail therapy! That red flower dress is going to look super on you.

Congratulations 'Nanny Angela'
Please join us in sending a massive 'Congratulations' to 'Nanny Angela' on the safe arrival of her new grandson ‘Freddie’ last Saturday! Our Resident Ambassador Sally had the honour of presenting CHAP Angela with a bouquet of white and baby-blue flowers from everyone at Claremont Parkway in celebration of her new nanny status.
We can't wait to meet little 'Freddie' and give him lots of cuddles.

Bunting Crafts
Our arts & crafts club ladies have been creating bunting for the Summer Fete, each choosing bright colours that will glisten in the breeze. We can't wait to see it up at our Hawaiian themed garden party on Saturday 22nd July • 11-5pm. All ages are welcome to join us on the day for lots of fun in the sun!

Indoor Fun and Games
Our residents love a competition!
Today it was 'Play Your Cards Right, and Pairs' plus a new game invented by Karen... 'Sun Hat Ping Pong'.
Both fun and challenging, the card games got all our minds working on probability, and the ping pong was great for hand-eye coordination... Such fun!
If your considering later life care for a loved one join us on Saturday 8th July 2023 for our Open Day and get a guided tour of our beautiful home, meet the Claremont Parkway team, and wonderful residents.
Call to book an appointment T.020 4533 8957 or pop in on the day.

Happy Birthday 'Jayne'
