Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

National Elf Day

In celebration of National Elf Day and in an effort to raise funds to help people living with dementia our staff swapped their uniforms for costumes. From stripy socks to head-to-toe elf outfits, these naughty little Claremont Parkway elves were up to mischief all day... agreeing there’s snow better way to raise money to help beat dementia!

Launched by the Alzheimer’s Society and delivered direct from the North Pole, Elf Day was created to sprinkle some festive cheer on fundraising towards finding a cure for dementia.

Mother and Daughter Duo

The Claremont Parkway Christmas celebrations were kicked off in style with a fabulous performance from the dynamic mother and daughter vocalist duo; Lesley-Ann Parker and Katie-Rose Parker.

The ladies had our residents and staff singing and playing percussion throughout their wonderful repertoire of party classics.

Christmas Paperchains and Crafting

Day 1 of our 'Countdown to Christmas Calendar' started with Christmas card creations and paper chain making. Our residents just love getting together, the conversation was all about Christmas and how excited they, or their children would get at this time of the year.

We have a fun packed schedule planned for everyday leading up to the 25h December.

Coffee and Donations

Today our wonderful care team took a couple of residents out to pick up another Christmas raffle donation from Tesco Extra (Carina Rd, Kettering) ... we'd like to send a big THANK YOU to Megan and the Tesco team.

Residents: Elizabeth and Peter couldn't resist a small stop off Costa Coffee inside Tesco for a large Frappe and scrumptious hot chocolate! Well, it would be rude not too!!!

Please drop into the home's reception to pick up your raffle tickets, we have so many hampers and super prizes up for grabs!
