Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Activities Assistant

Elain Carey

Activities Assistant

Hi. My name is Elain and I help to deliver the daily programme of activities and entertainment and celebrations - there is always a birthday to celebrate! I like to see residents making friends and chatting with each other. I have a background in dance, music and acting, and I am also a qualified Zumba instructor, so I love it when we have entertainers in the home. We also have regular visits by therapy pets which residents find very relaxing.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Sunny Days

The Claremont Parkway gardens are looking so inviting, with new furniture and plants, plenty of sun shades and paddling pools. Over the weekend our residents enjoyed catching some rays, chatting together and cooling their feet whilst trying to hook-a-duck or two!

We had freshly chilled Summer punch to keep them hydrated, and plenty of ice creams and lollys at the click of a finger to keep us all cool.

We look forward to seeing you at our Summer Fete on 22nd July 2023 'they'll be something fun for everyone'.

Mother & daughter duo; Lesley Ann & Katie Rose know exactly how to get our residents and staff up and grooving!

In their sequined dresses they work the room singing all the classics our residents know and love. Once again...Thank you ladies for another fantastic Claremont Parkway performance.

Claremont Parkway care home provides a varied life enrichment programme tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.

Kettering Library Pop-Up

We've been out in the local community with the Claremont Parkway and Elm Bank care home managers at Kettering Library. It was wonderful to meet so many people, find out more about life in Kettering and hand out homemade cakes, goodies and refreshments.

We hope to hold another pop up in a few weeks time. We'll be there again from 10am to 12 noon we've got lots of community events and forthcoming activities to tell you about!

Plant Pot Painting

There's nothing better than a good chat whilst doing a pot of painting in the summer sun. Our lovely ladies have started painting decorative designs on clay pots in colours common to Hawaii, which will be the theme of this years Claremont Parkway 'Summer Fête' on Saturday 22nd July 2023. (More details to follow).

Well done ladies, they're looking fabulous. We look forward to seeing the finished pots on sale at the fête .
