Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Hi. My name is Elain and I help to deliver the daily programme of activities and entertainment and celebrations - there is always a birthday to celebrate! I like to see residents making friends and chatting with each other. I have a background in dance, music and acting, and I am also a qualified Zumba instructor, so I love it when we have entertainers in the home. We also have regular visits by therapy pets which residents find very relaxing.

Busy Bees Playtime
What a wonderful afternoon! Busy Bees Nursery came to visit again, we had so much fun decorating biscuits with you and our residents absolutely loved you letters and drawings from you all. Our residents and the children get so much out of these intergenerational engagements.
Bookmarks for National Book Day
In preparation for World Book Day next week we were creating and decorating our very own book marks this afternoon.
Pancake Day at Claremont Parkway
Our Activity Coordinator Angel and our Chef Vera worked together for today's Pancake Day celebrations. Everybody got pancakes decorated the way they wanted and delivered directly to them courtesy of the roaming pancake trolley!
Tiny Farm Animal Cuddles
We had a little visit from Lucia's Tiny Farm today with huge bunnies to rats and reptiles. Our residents just love their pet therapy afternoons.
National Bread Week
Today we made our own bread in celebration of National Bread Week. Creating each loaf from scratch, our residents loved getting messy and giving it their best at mixing all the ingredients together.
Hilary's Dinner Date
Everyday is filled with love at Claremont Parkway! Our resident Hillary was joined today for a dinner date with our maintenance team Steve and Kyle. She was made to feel truely special.
