Activities at Fairview House Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators create a weekly planner that consists of a variety of activities, which caters to all residents' needs as best as possible. The most popular activities are bingo, which we host twice a week, flower arranging and weekly visits from Vinnie our pet therapy dog. Residents also enjoy minibus trips in the nicer weather and we attend a concert every month. We are also involved in the Council Well-being Team, which keeps us up-to date with upcoming events within the community and provides interesting ideas for activities we can try in the home.

Throughout the year, we host various special events, including themed open days and summer and winter fetes that people in our local communities are welcome to join us for. We also have monthly church services with Rev. Ann from Danestone Congregational Church, which is open to loved ones as well.

A trip to Italy!

This morning in our Memory Lane community we went on a trip to Italy. We got our boarding passes and put our holiday outfits on! After this we had arrived in our very own pizzeria where we made some delicious pizzas!

We then learnt all about the country & enjoyed some Italian snacks. In the afternoon we got to enjoy our pizzas alongside some ice cream! Everyone had an amazing time and we already can't wait for our next trip!

Love is in the air!

Fairview House care home, in Aberdeen, was filled with flowers, cards and sweets in celebration of St Valentine’s Day.  Staff and residents celebrated the day of love by creating heart shaped decorations for around the home and enjoying many chocolates with one another. We also held a very special Valentine’s Afternoon Tea where everyone came together to spread the love whilst enjoying each other’s company.

Residents lend their ears to live performance

Residents and guests at Fairview House care home in Aberdeen enjoyed a night of grins with a live music performance that took place at the home. Local Diana Peers came in to hold a music and movement session to a selection of classic hits. Residents joined in with the singing, and clapped along she played the finale song of reach for the stars . The hospitality team at the home also provided a spread of sweet and savoury treats for guests to enjoy during the show.

A massive thank you for coming in and spending the afternoon with us.

Burns celebrations

Fairview House care home in Aberdeen prepared a traditional Burns Night Supper to the tune of bagpipes and the fun continued well into the night.
