Activities at Florence Court Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Jessica Duery
I have been working in the Care Sector for 5 years and started out as a Domestic and Laundry Assistant. I decided that I wanted to progress my career in an Activities capacity so became an activities provider then progressed to an Activities Co-Ordinator which I did for 2 years prior to joining the team at Florence Court . I have a real passion for Activities and get a great deal of pleasure in enriching the residents life's through meaningful activities. I love getting to know the residents and spending time with them finding out what they love to do. Every day is very different and rewarding.

We had a visit from Nelson and Penny the Corgi's as well as enjoying a singalong, quiz and games on the lawn. Steve our Head Chef and the Kitchen Team prepared a wonderful afternoon tea. The sun was shining and everyone had a fantastic time.
Flower arranging fun
Our residents enjoyed some flower arranging in preparation for our Jubilee Garden Party. There was great laughter and debate about what the best flowers are. It was lovely to hear about which flowers the residents like and had in their own gardens.
