Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Senior Activities Co-Ordinator

I have been working in the Care Sector for 5 years and started out as a Domestic and Laundry Assistant. I decided that I wanted to progress my career in an Activities capacity so became an activities provider then progressed to an Activities Co-Ordinator which I did for 2 years prior to joining the team at Florence Court . I have a real passion for Activities and get a great deal of pleasure in enriching the residents life's through meaningful activities. I love getting to know the residents and spending time with them finding out what they love to do. Every day is very different and rewarding.

Last week, our home welcomed professional singer Amanda Parsons for a festive performance. 
Our residents loved dancing and singing along to the music. It was a lovely way to celebrate the start of the Christmas season. Thank you Amanda, we look forward to welcoming you again.

Festive Pet Competition

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in our competition! It was a really tough choice and our staff and residents found it hard to pick the winning pet as they were all so wonderful. 

Cake Delivery To Our Local Heroes

FLORENCE COURT DELIVERS  FRESHLY MADE CAKES TO OUR LOCAL FIRE STATION!!! 
Today our Home's General Manager visited Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire And Rescue Service. We were greeted by Business Support Administrator Jane Pitts and Fireman Ian Burrows. 
Blue Watch - who were on duty today - were delighted with the cakes. We were given an extremely warm welcome and even had a tour of the facilities. 
Green Watch will be coming to the home to join us for our Christmas Light Switch On on the 10th of December. We look forward to them visiting.

Employee of the month goes to...... Olivia Belcher. Well done to Olivia one of the homes Senior Carers who goes above and beyond for her residents, not only does she provide outstanding care she is also a great team leader.

90th Birthday Celebrations

Celebrations have been in full swing at Florence court, as one of its much-loved residents, Brian, reached his 90th birthday in style. 

Brian was joined by staff, relatives and friends as he celebrated his special day. Guests enjoyed a wonderful lunch and a beautiful homemade cake made by Head Chef ,Steve Lewis. It was a memorable day and staff and residents were delighted to be included.
