Activities at Florence Court Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Senior Activities Co-Ordinator

I have been working in the Care Sector for 5 years and started out as a Domestic and Laundry Assistant. I decided that I wanted to progress my career in an Activities capacity so became an activities provider then progressed to an Activities Co-Ordinator which I did for 2 years prior to joining the team at Florence Court . I have a real passion for Activities and get a great deal of pleasure in enriching the residents life's through meaningful activities. I love getting to know the residents and spending time with them finding out what they love to do. Every day is very different and rewarding.

We Have Quite The Competitive Bunch here At Florence court!!

Two of florence Courts residents went head to head in a fun filled afternoon of games, these games consisted of Giant Jenga, Domino's and Noughts and Crosses.

Despite the competitiveness of both Our residents, they still remained perfect gentleman and congratulated each other after each win. It was so good to watch and be involved in such a fun afternoon.

Steve creates exceptional dining experiences for each and every resident, whether that be a three course meal in one of our several restaurants or a light snack. Whatever our residents require Steve always delivers to a very high standard and the positive feedback we have received from residents and relatives reflects his huge efforts.

Salon Pamper Day For Our Lovely Residents

Our ladies Having Their Luscious Locks Washed & Blow Dried In Our Very Own Hair Salon!! We are very lucky to have our own beautifully designed Hair Salon here at Florence Court. Our residents love having weekly regular pamper sessions in the comfort of their own home, Sandy one of our residents at the time commented "I really enjoyed that, it makes you feel so much better when you have your hair and nails done" At Florence Court we put our residents at the forefront of what we do.

Our New Deputy Manager

Welcome To Our New Deputy Manager Sarah! Sarah has worked in the care industry for over 18 years now! so has a wealth of experience! Sarah has been a Community Carer for the last 10 years which involved career progression into a Deputy Manager role. Sarah then felt the need to take on a new and exciting challenge so when the position for a Deputy came up at Florence Court she was more than happy to apply. sarah commented "My home life is just as busy with 5 dogs and 2 children but I love every minute of it and I am looking forward to my future with Barchester". We are all very thrilled to have Sarah with us at the home and she has fitted in nicely, not to mention the residents love her.
