Activities at Hall Park Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Natasha Lindo
Natasha is the Activities Coordinator here at Hall Park. Natasha really enjoys her job as no two days are ever the same. The life enrichment and daily activities program aims to provide stimulation for the mind, body and soul by engaging with residents daily. We all love to use our imagination and here we encourage creative activities. We also have a minibus which is used weekly to take residents out to cafes, local beauty spots and day trips.

Life at Hall Park Care Home
International Flower Day
Residents at Hall Park took part in flower-based activities throughout the day including a flower arranging competition, reminiscing about their gardens/flowers in the home’s garden, virtual visits to famous gardens on YouTube, and a flower quiz which everyone really enjoyed. Their collective knowledge about flowers gained from years of gardening experience was very impressive.
Hall Park's Christmas Party
Hall Park care home got in the Christmas spirit by throwing a themed party, hosting a Live Entertainment for residents. Hall Park’s Christmas party was in full swing with fancy dress, festive foods, live music and games, and carol singers in the Lounge. Residents enjoyed a feast of festive foods prepared by the home’s chef.
The residents at Hall Park said: “It has been a lovely day." "It was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to get into the Christmas spirit." "I really enjoyed the mulled wine and mince pies."
Christmas Lunch at our Local Pub
Hall Park's Activities Team are keen to bring back happy memories for the residents at Hall Park. The team arranged a trip to the local pub during this festive season. We were served a traditional pub lunch, and chose a tipple from the bar, which served beer, cider, wines and gin. The pub atmosphere was rounded off with musical entertainment and a lively discussion of favourite drinks and pub meals.
Christmas Jumper Day
Residents and staff at Hall Park Care Home are helping to make the world a better place by wearing a festival jumper on Thursday 8th December in aid of Save the Children’s annual fundraising event, Christmas Jumper Day. All residents and staff at Hall Park have been encouraged to buy, borrow or decorate their own special Christmas jumpers and donate to Save the Children. Some of the residents have been very creative and decorated their own glitzy knitwear with tinsel, stars, baubles and snowflakes.
Local store donate to festive hamper
Local superstore, Morrisons, which has a long-standing relationship with Hall Park care home in Bulwell has very kindly donated to the home’s Christmas Raffle. Morrisons’ Community Champions for Bulwell, Georgina Cumberland and Amanda King visited the home bringing some Christmas Cheer and early gifts for the Alzheimer’s fund raiser organised by the home.
Jody Rakhra, General Manager at Hall Park, commented: “We were so touched to receive the cakes, mince pies and mini G&Ts for the raffle. We are raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society and this gift will really help us sell more tickets, we really enjoy seeing the Morrisons Community Champions out and about helping the local area in many ways. We welcome people in the local community to come our dementia café held at the home on the first Tuesday of each month from 2:30 – 4:00pm where we will continue to raise funds for this very important cause that is close to our hearts at Hall Park”
Residents enjoy panto performance
Residents at Hall Park were treated to a special Christmas themed pantomime performance by cats and pyjamas productions. Everyone enjoyed the timeless tale full of magical twists, fun, laughter and adventures. It was wonderful to see how much our residents interacted throughout the show with everyone clapping and singing along as laughter filled the room. After the performance we all sang a selection of carols together and enjoyed festive mince pies.
We all had a wonderful afternoon
