Activities at Kings Park Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

We're Still Creating Happiness!
Our residents are really loving our weekly Creative Happiness Club, which we have been running for several weeks now with some great feedback from residents and families who have seen the benefits for themselves.
Eleanor, who runs these weekly groups in our home, really ensures everyone is well supported and encourages everyone to try something new, get chatting with each other, but also likes to showcase some of creative makes.
If you would like to come along to the next FREE session, then our groups are held as follows: -
EVERY MONDAY - 2PM - 4PM HERE AT KINGS PARK (TOP FLOOR DINING ROOM)

St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans!
Residents here at Kings Park celebrated all things Irish recently as they enjoyed a fun afternoon of music, dancing and fun & games, all with an Irish theme.
Everyone had a wonderful afternoon and really got into the spirit of things as they joined together for this wonderful afternoon event.
Several of own Kings Parkers all turned into Irish leprechauns for the afternoon too.
Well done everyone and 'Top 'o the Morning' to you all!
Celebrating our Mums!
Recently here at Kings Park it was all about our marvellous Mothers...
For some it was a time to rejoice for our lovely mothers and hold them dear, as we thanked them for all they have done in our lives, whilst for others it was time to remember the mothers no longer here with us, but who's legacies still live on.
But whichever it was, yesterday was definitely a time of celebration - And celebrate we did!
The fabulous Andy Hague was back again to entertain us again with his wonderful accordion music, which soon got everyone up and dancing! THANK YOU ANDY!
Meanwhile, the ever fabulous, Wyn, (our Head Chef) had been busy baking some delicious treats in the Kings Park kitchen, for all the wonderful mums and their families to enjoy at their afternoon mother's day soiree.
Each mother was also given a lovely posy of flowers to mark the special day, in addition to all the wonderful cards, gifts and flowers bestowed upon them all by their lovely families.
It really was a wonderful afternoon full of LOVE for all our mothers!
NEW Creative Happiness Club Launches!
We recently saw the launch of the wonderful new arts & crafts club here at Kings Park; The Creative Happiness Club...
We welcomed the wonderfully creative, Eleanor Green, along with some lovely local community members, who all came along for the first time, to chat, make new friends and spend an afternoon learning new artistic techniques and skills, before trying things for themselves.
Some came for the company, some to do some adult colouring or puzzles and others really got stuck in with the arts & crafts on offer - Others simply watched on in amazement at what was being done by others.
There were many of our residents in attendance too, and it was lovely to see everyone busily chatting and getting to know one another and also offering each other lots of help and support whenever they could.
To celebrate this creative coming together of a brand new group, there was also a delicious cake and lots of tea & coffee too.
If you would like to join us for the next Creative Happiness group, you would be very welcome indeed AND it's FREE!!!!
EVERY MONDAY FROM 2PM - 4PM AT KINGS PARK

To celebrate international women's day, our residents & staff all got involved in discussing the inspirational women in their lives...
Many said relatives or close family members, whilst others went broader, with famous women from recent history and beyond!
