Activities at Kings Park Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Angela Cawsey
Hello, I am Angela the Activities Lead.
I am delighted to be part of the team at Kings Park after a transferring from a sister home in Salisbury, following my relocation to this area.
With experience in this role, my passion is bringing joy to our residents, whether on a one-to-one basis or in groups. I love getting to know each resident and incorporating their interests into engaging, meaningful activities and events that nurture the mind, body and spirit to enhance their well-being and life enrichment at our home. Making people smile is what I do best!
During lockdown, I ran daily Zoom sessions for well-being, including bingo and quizzes. When my children were young I volunteered as a helper at Boys Brigade and St John's Ambulance which was very rewarding. I love being a Grandma, music, crafts, the outdoors and animals - I have just started a new hobby of wild swimming with friends.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Barchester's BIG Quiz 2024!
Residents and staff all gathered in the lounge recently for the most epic event of the year...
BARCHESTER'S BIG QUIZ!
Residents came together united with one common goal - to beat the competition!
Linking in for this live event, were over 250 other Barchester homes & hospitals, who all pitted against one another to come out on top as the overall team champions.
We did really well and managed to get 28 out of 30 correct answers, which have now been submitted.
Now we all wait with baited breath as we learn how we did overall.
Having enjoyed this event so much, we will be planning our own quiz night very shortly for friends and families to come along and join in with - As soon as we have a date we will let you all know!
WELL DONE TEAM KINGS PARK! What a wonderful afternoon we have had.

The Scottish may do Hogmanay, but they ain't got nothing on us...
Everyone gathered in our foyer recently, as we rang in the new year (albeit, slightly early, as we counted down to midday instead), as we held our now annual new year celebration, full of music, dancing, laughter and LOTS of fun!
The residents were in a joyous mood as they welcomed in 2024.
What did you do for new year?
Here at Kings Park, we truly 'Celebrated Life' (our Barchester Healthcare motto)
Whatever you got up to, we hope it was as good as ours was!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
NEW YEAR WISHES
As 2023 comes to an end,
From our home to yours, we wish to send,
Health & prosperity for the year to come,
Here's hoping it's filled with giggles and fun,
Go make some memories to last you a while,
And do this with loved ones who make you smile.
Hold close all those folks that you value the most,
A new year to come as we clink glasses and toast.
May this new year be full of joy and laughter,
Blessings to you and yours ever after.
We open the door to a new year beyond,
And spend this time with those who you're fond.
May 2024 shine and be bright,
And may it be the year that your dreams all take flight!
HAPPY NEW YEAR from all at Kings Park!
