Activities at Longueville Court Care Home

Our activities coordinators are committed to organising a variety of activities that reflect the interests and capabilities for everybody we support ensuring a person centred approach.

The team have a flexible approach to our programme and we are constantly reviewing and updating our programmes to ensure we cater for everyone's needs and varied abilities.

The activities programme includes regular trips utilising the homes minibus, these include a number of destinations of local interest. We are particularly proud of the relationship we have built with Peterborough Sailability. This registered charity offers the opportunities to those with restricted mobility to enjoy the thrill of sailing on the open water and the sense of independence that brings in specially adapted boats.

Involvement in the local community is something that the whole team are very passionate about and we provide regular visits to a number of different facilities including local schools and churches. These activities also extend too visits from "Pat dogs" and local entertainers to aid in our ongoing quest to give each individual as much support and stimulation as they require.

Life at Longueville Court Care Home

Enjoying a quiet hobby

At Longueville Court we encourage people to continue with their hobbies when they move here. Residents enjoy a wide range of activities including gardening, music, crafts, bird spotting and supporting a favourite football team. Julie likes the peace and creativity of making beautiful flower arrangements for her bedroom and to be enjoyed by everyone in the shared areas.

Beetle drive fun with friends

Richard, Julie, Rae and Terry all spent a lovely afternoon together enjoying a fun beetle drive and other table games at Longueville Court.

Enjoying some games in the sun

Residents enjoyed taking some board games outside to make the most of the sunshine and the lovely gardens at Longueville Court. Gail from the Activities Team joined in the friendly competition.

Thank you for the Music

Residents at Longueville Court had a great day enjoying the music of Abba and making their own glam accessories for the party. Julie and Terry wore their Abba specs to watch Mama Mia and everyone enjoyed taking a chance on being the dancing queen.

Thank you for the music, Abba!

Cheesecake making

Residents and the Activities Team at Longueville Court had great fun in the kitchen making simple, no bake, raspberry and white chocolate cheescakes to share. Rae, Richard and others loved the opportunity to make something for their friends and the results were absolutely delicious.

Longueville Court welcomes back family visitors

Longueville Court is delighted to welcome back the families of residents, for socially distanced reunions in our gardens with their loved ones. General Manager Margery Dino, Deputy Manager Louise Haigh-Walsworth, and Resident Ambassador Julie Cambers were all ready to greet the visitors we have waited a long time to see. It has been an emotional week as families see each other face to face again. Welcome back everyone! Thank you for following the guidelines and keeping everyone safe.
