Activities at Middletown Grange Care Home
We aim to provide a variety of activities that will both mentally and physically stimulate the people we support. Residents have a range of different needs and interests, and it is crucial that these are reflected in the activities available, so that each individual is able to participate to the best of their ability. We organise both group and individual social events that everyone is welcome to take part in; there is a weekly outing to local places of interest, including the garden centre and the local farms, parks and museums. In addition, we enjoy regular visits from entertainers and even exotic animals. We also host events such as 'Beach Day' that relatives and friends are encouraged to participate in. Getting involved in charities is a big part of our ethos, so events such as 'PJs for Pudsey' and pirate-themed days are regularly hosted to raise money for different foundations, including the Alzheimer’s Society.

Life at Middletown Grange Care Home
Singing & Dancing with Live Entertainment
We have enjoyed some musical guests this month, including the versatile music performance from Bill James and the brilliant piano playing by Chris Beahan. It was great to see the residents, dancing, laughing and clapping along!
Remembrance Day Poppies
Our residents have put in their time and care to create this beautiful cascade of poppies for Remembrance Day.
Halloween Party Preparations
Thanks to our baking club, we enjoyed delectable, decorated cupcakes for Halloween! We mixed the colours and applied the icing and sprinkles. The hat toppings were our favourite part!
Harvest Festival Display
It's harvest time! For Art Club, we're working on a paper craft, forming a harvest basket with painted sunflowers, pumpkins, apples, pears, wine, and more. We have some lovely creations so far!
Pumpkin Carving Fun
This week, the residents of Middletown Grange are celebrating Halloween by carving pumpkins. Come Friday, we'll vote on our favourite jack-o-lantern and find out who won the competition! Stay tuned for some more spooky pumpkin creations.
Games Afternoon
We spent this week's Games Afternoon trying out some new ones, and 'Wallamoppi' was a huge success. We stacked the disks as high as they could go before collapsing, well done! We'll definitely be playing this one again.
