Activities at Moors Manor Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.

I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.

When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.

I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

Life at Moors Manor Care Home

Knit and Natter at Greyfriars community hall in Ringwood

The Knit and Knatter group at Greyfriars in Ringwood are busy making charity items to help the crisis in Ukraine. They are desperate for wool so please drop any you may have in to them, on a Wednesday morning between 10-12.00. They welcomed our homemade brownies and cup cakes and we chatted about respite care at Moors.

Valentine's lunch with friends and family

Happy Valentine's Day to our residents as they enjoyed a tasty lunch with relatives, friends and family. Flowers, chocolates and a young harpist called Becky entertained with romantic songs to celebrate the day. It was lovely to bring everyone together and to feel loved.
