Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Jo Henderson
Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.
I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.
When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

Life at Moors Manor Care Home
Making Easter Cards to send to relatives and loved ones
Christine has created a fun egg card to send to her brother for Easter. Both Veena and Val were pleased with their cards and each wrote an individual message to their loved ones. Just one of the Easter activities here at Moors Manor. This afternoon our residents will enjoy tea and hot cross buns and some might venture into the garden as it is a lovely sunny Good Friday.
Card Bingo
Veena seems to be winning card bingo today. Bibesh our activities coordinator has everyone competing for the prize.
Fun and laughter at West Moors community cafe
West Moors Community cafe held by Moors Manor and Kings Park care homes was full of laughter today as Maggie handed round the cakes. The ladies from weight watchers are new to the group and everyone had fun and giggles
Beryl loved the art activity today
A lovely smile from Beryl as she proudly shows her artwork from today. Veena is still busy finishing her master piece. Craft activities are very popular here at Moors Manor and our residents really enjoy a variety of arty projects.
Elvis is in the building
Our residents sang and danced along to classics by Elvis. What a fantastic, fun afternoon.
Men's sheds is a lovely charity creating crafty carpentry
Elvis is a huge hit with our residents. They were singing and dancing along to all the classics.

Join us for a great social afternoon and sample delicious cheese and nibbles over a glass of fizz.
