Activities at Mount House and Severn View

Our Activities team is a dedicated group whom strive to ensure that the residents of Mount House have a broad range of meaningful activities daily which reflect the needs, wants and interests of all our residents. From our larger events including Garden Parties in our spectacular grounds to birthday celebrations with live musical entertainment we always have a broad range of events to suit all of our wonderful residents. We also go on a number of outings throughout the year in and around Shropshire, many of which are linked to community organisations whom cater specifically for interests of the people we support.

Something we have always been passionate about here at The Mount is Music therapy and we offer a diverse musical programme of live music and entertainers throughout the year to suit all tastes. Food theme days and tasting afternoons, as well as regular Cookery classes and chair yoga are on offer as well as beauty therapy and massage.
We aim to consistently provide a high quality activities programme for all of our residents and ensure that regardless of limitations and circumstances each individual has the best possible experience within our home, through both a physical and mentally stimulating person-centred approach.

Elf Day Celebrations

On National Elf Day staff at Mount House swapped their uniforms for costumes to help raise funds for those people living with dementia. Launched by the Alzheimer’s Society and delivered direct from the North Pole, Elf Day was created to sprinkle some festive cheer on fundraising towards finding a cure for dementia. From stripy socks to head-to-toe elf outfits we all had lots of fun elfin' around for such a good cause.

Home Manager Coral brought her doggies; Daisy and Dotty into meet the residents, they were very well behaved and looked super cute in their Christmas outfits. Big Congratulations to Tracey for winning Best Dressed Elf and special thanks from all at Mount House to ur wonderful Relative Ambassador; Jane Timms for volunteering to spend the day decorating our Christmas trees! She was such a good little elf!

Treat Me Tuesday's

Today's 'Treat Me' Tuesday was the offer of a hand massage from Rachel. With fragrant warm water and choice of softening creams Rachel provided a sensual and relaxing hand massage to all those who wanted a little pampering.

Resident Sheila went first and spread the word to everyone that Rachel was very good and they too should give it a try. Marjorie and Joyce found their hands were super soft afterwards and Margaret loved it so much she almost fell asleep... before asking if she could have her feet done next!
