Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Newton House Care Home
Gents Day Out
Following on from our monthly residents meeting , the gentleman requested for their next trip out, to go for a nice beer and a game of pool.
We were delighted to incorporate their request into this weeks activity planner and the gentleman of Newton House had a fabulous afternoon as we headed to the local billiards club.
It was so lovely to see the teamwork involved in the game, reminiscing and watch the gents having a wonderful time together.
Don't worry 'beer' happy!
You better beer-lieve that residents at Newton House Care Home in Newton, were more than hoppy to raise a glass, and sample some top craft ales, bitters and lagers, in celebration of International Beer Day.
The activities team at Newton House set up a bar environment for a real pub experience and brought in a range of brew-tiful British and International ales for residents to sample. Residents and their visitors enjoyed a beer tasting experience as they sampled the different craft ales, bitters and lagers.
Virtual Day At The Beach
Today we brought the sunshine in, with a super fun beach day at Newton House.
The weather wasn’t on our side again today, but there was no stopping us enjoying our themed event with an indoor beach party.
Residents have enjoyed a full day of seaside activities and it has been so much fun!
From beach themed quizzes and crosswords, beach hut colouring, seaside bingo, sing-along's, beach ball exercise, and hook a duck to a bit of beach themed Karaoke!
It’s always wonderful to see our residents join together, from all of our communities at Newton House and watch their friendships blossom.
Virtual Tour of Mayfair
Residents across our services had a fantastic time joining Mandy Morrow for a virtual walking tour to learn about the ‘Herstory’ of Mayfair. The Mayfair of Nightingales may be long gone but it still holds a 20th century charm. Birthplace to the late Queen Elizabeth II, home to one of WWII's most decorated female war heroes and a tale of a wealthy Aristocrat and one of France's favourite designers.
We were delighted to take a walk down memory lane and discover stories from one of London's most iconic areas. The experience was truly enjoyed by all.
Animal mischief as we visit the farm
Newton House Care Home, in Grantham, was full of animal mischief on Tuesday when our residents visited the farm at Kesteven Ridability at Hough on the Hill.
Residents at Newton House Care Home were pleasantly surprised to see animals such as Horses, Geese and Rabbits roaming around the grounds during our visit to Hough on the Hill
Puzzles and games with Sweet Angels nursery
A Sweet Angels Childcare Service visit this morning for puzzle time, bubbles and sing along.️
Residents joined from all communities for another exciting visit from their favourite little friends. Vonnie said “ I love seeing their happy little faces”
