Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Bonfire Night
Residents enjoyed bonfire night with fireworks and lots of sparklers!
Christmas Fayre
We had a very special visit from the big man himself at our Christmas Fayre.
A Special Visit
We had a special visit from one of our Nurse's little girls. I think she was a big hit with the residents, so babysitting duties have been sorted.
Love Story
Anne, who has been with us for many years, has never been apart from her husband Dan for more than a few days at a time. Dan, who has been a massive supporter of our home, was taken seriously ill and didn’t think he would be able to see Anne again. He was left speechless as we wheeled Anne into his bedroom in the home he was staying in.
Out & About
We had a lovely trip to the local park to feed the ducks. We all enjoyed the day out, especially having a nice cuppa after.
Zoolab
We had a lovely visit from some four-legged furry animals. Residents seemed to really enjoy being able to stroke them.
