Activities at Newton House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!
Newton House Activities Team
Amanda, Sabrina, Karen and Jill make up our fantastic Activities Team here at Newton House. They develop and oversee an active living programme for each resident, which encourages mobility, social contact, independence and fun. Each and every person can thrive and live to their full potential with no day ever being the same. They bring great enthusiasm and spark to Newton House and have one passion, which is to deliver an amazing and vibrant activities programme to cater to all tastes and abilities.

Life at Newton House Care Home
Halloween
We had a thrilling Halloween-themed dance party in the morning and there was lots of fun games in the afternoon, with a wonderful buffet available to top it all off.
Easter Bonnet Winner
Well done to our Easter bonnet winner, Jennifer Farrar, who made this amazing hat.
Comic Relief & Mother's Day
At Newton House, we dressed up in eighties-style fancy dress to raise money through a cake sale for Red Nose Day. We also hosted a Mother's Day meal, which residents and their families really enjoyed.
Children in Need
We had a great day at Newton House Care home, fundraising for Children in Need. Our staff dressed up for the occasion, we had quizzes, a coffee morning, a 'guess how many beads in the jar' contest, and much more!
Remembrance Day
Newton House held an RAF event in commemoration of Remembrance Day. The 505 Squadron visited the home and held a presentation and talk for residents, spending lots of time chatting to them individually - it was lovely to see. The padre from the squadron also attended. It was a fantastic day, and the team all got involved and dressed up especially. It meant so much to two residents specifically - Alfred and Mike - who, like so many other brave men, fought in World War Two.
Halloween
Staff, residents and visitors had great fun on Halloween, and the food was out of this world.
