Activities at Silverbirch House Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Life at Silverbirch House Care Home
Meeting the local emergency services
Our team paid a visit to our local emergency services personnel this week. We brought along "Hero chocolates" and invited them for a "Cuppa and Cake". Their delightful smiles showed us how happy they were. We extend an open invitation for anyone to come visit us anytime for refreshments and a tour.
Harvest Celebrations
We were thrilled to receive an invitation to celebrate Harvest Festival at St. Mary's Church in Worplesdon, hosted by Reverend Alex Russell. During the event, Sally-Anne, the Home Services Advisor from Silverbirch House Care Home presented the church with an impressive Harvest Hamper filled with a variety of foods. Sally-Anne commented "It was a fantastic opportunity to meet the congregation and become more acquainted with the local community. We were all looking forward to the Harvest Festival, as it's such a lovely time of year to show our gratitude. It's great to know that everything is safely gathered in for another year. We enjoyed singing hymns together and spreading the word about our new luxury care home with Barchester."
The Mayor of Guildford comes to Silverbirch House.
The Mayor was taken on a tour of the home by Louise White and he also met the construction team from Acheson Construction Ltd.
Mayor Masuk Miah commented: “I had such a warm welcome. It’s going to be a fantastic home, it’s really beautiful. I love the colour scheme. It will make many people happy in the years to come.”
General Manager at Silverbirch House, Louise White said: “It was a pleasure to showcase our stunning home. The construction team from Acheson Construction Ltd, were delighted that the Mayor was able to visit us and see the progress of the build. We all had a wonderful morning and are looking forward to the Mayor Masuk Miah coming to our grand opening on December 7th.”
