Activities at Tennyson Wharf Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Rebecca Harrowing
Hi my name is Rebecca, I started working at Tennyson Wharf in July 2024.
Previous to starting at Tennyson Wharf I have lived in many countries and worked as a supply teacher and administrator in Bahrain in the Middle East - I have also worked in scouting programme groups in both the USA and UK.
Whilst I have worked with children for a lot of my life, working with the elderly is always been something I have been passionate about. I believe that everybody has a story to tell and our residents life stories all add value to Tennyson Wharf.
Outside of work I enjoy walking, gardening and going to the cinema.

Life at Tennyson Wharf Care Home
Trip to Burton Hathow School
Our residents really enjoyed their trip to Burton Hathow School. The children put on a small show about various items that have been used in the past century including different styles of clothes from the 40’s to the 80’s.
Deuce
It was Deuce at Tennyson as our residents battled it out, over a friendly game of balloon tennis. Wimbledon watch out!
Carillon Bell Ringers
Carillon Bell Ringers came to Tennyson Wharf to entertain our residents with a range of wonderful Christmas carols to get everyone in the mood for the festive season.
RSPCA Visit Tennyson

Tennyson Wharf welcomed local WBF Super Middleweight Champion boxer Nathan Decastro who teamed up with Lincoln City FC Veteran players to talk to our residents about health and fitness.
Beatrice turns 101!
Tennyson Wharf celebrated an amazing milestone of our resident lovely Beatrice, who turned 101 years old! The day was made even more special as she is a lifelong biker fan and was visited by Dave and his friends from the riders branch of the Royal British Legion.
