Activities at Westgate House Care Home

Our role in the home is fundamental to ensuring that our residents enjoy a fulfilling quality of life. We strive to provide a stimulating, creative & varied range of activities & events in the home, which everyone can enjoy whether they prefer social group engagement or one to one interaction. Residents choice is what we aim to provide to the best of our abilities. We enjoy being creative, sharing projects and discussing with our residents the kind of activities they would like to enjoy. Both indoor and outdoor activities are offered to cater for all tastes as well as regular outings to local places of interest.

National Carers Week

This week we have been  celebrating all our fantastic carers. Barchester healthcare sends a huge thank you to all our carers, for all you do, every single shift, to help those in our care to celebrate life and live each day to the fullest. We are very proud that you are part of our Barchester family! As a small token of thanks they sent us two Cadburys chocolate hampers, which went down a treat!

Jubilee Celebrations

We celebrated the Queens Platinum jubilee on Thursday 2 June with a Big jubilee garden lunch. We offered a three course meal followed by entertainment. We invited family and friends to bring along a picnic basket. The entertainment was fantastic, everybody was dancing or moving in their seats, clapping hands. The residents enjoyed posing for the photos. We had so much fun and the sun was shining. I think we did the Queen proud.
