Activities at Badgeworth Court Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators provide a stimulating social programme to suit residents' individual tastes and desires, and offer group or one-to-one activities based on individual preferences. We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

Mini Bus Trip!

We have been busy getting out and about on our mini bus at Badgeworth Court.

At the request of our lovely residents, we visited one of our beautiful local garden centres. We strolled around admiring all the different plants and flowers that was on show.

At Badgeworth we are lucky to be surrounded by beautiful gardens, so it was great to get inspiration from the range of displays on show.

Of course our outings are never complete without a stop for a slice of delicious cake and a hot cup of coffee.

Regular outings are just one aspect of our life enrichment program and all the trips we take are at the request of the residents.

Music and Movement

The residents at Badgeworth Court Care Home have recently had a very energy filled session with Michelle from Music and Movement. At Barchester we believe movement is key for healthy aging, maintaining mobility and quality of life, and music is a wonderful medium for connecting and uplifting. Our residents really benefit from the sessions and enjoy interacting with their fellow residents.

Boat Trip

Absolutely amazing day spent relaxing on The Willow Trust with the Skipper and all the amazing Volunteer’s.

We all had a brilliant time on the boat with colleagues and residents from one of our sister homes Tewkesbury Fields. The weather was just perfect, we enjoyed a picnic, steering the boat with the fantastic support from the Skipper and the volunteers; we also got to spend time sitting outside enjoying the views and fresh air.

Thank you to all the volunteers we got to meet today on board, you are all amazing. Our residents had a wonderful time!

Garden Feeding

We have had a lovely time in the sunshine at Badgeworth Court care home. Our residents enjoyed a tea and coffee in our beautiful courtyard whilst topping up the bird feeders outside their rooms. Some of our residents like watching the birds through the window, whilst others may want to get actively involved in managing the bird-feeding station, either way all residents benefit from this activity.

Baking Club with Volunteer

The residents at Badgeworth Court have been having fun recently at our Bakery club in our tea room with the help of our activities team and Volunteer student Alex. There is something inherently sweet about baking that goes beyond the reward of a tasty treat. The sensation of flour in the hands and the uplifting smell of freshly baked biscuits engages the senses in a way that can be particularly beneficial for our residents. The home made biscuits looked delicious and were later enjoyed with a cup of tea.

Terry's Birthday

Our Resident Terry had a wonderful birthday last week. The lovely Singer Anna Tharia came this morning to serenade Terry with songs from the 50s and 60s. This was followed by a lovely lunch in the courtyard with his Badgeworth friends. Happy birthday Terry we hope you have had a wonderful day. At Badgeworth we believe a birthday allows our residents to better recognize and appreciate the circle of love and support that surrounds them as friends and family gather to celebrate.
