We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

Badgeworth Court Residents and Team Present Fundraising Cheque to Alzheimer's Society

The Badgeworth Court team and residents were delighted to present the cheque from the proceeds of the summer fair and raffle to the Alzheimer’s Society.  General Manager, Rosalynn welcomed Jackie Chellin who is a volunteer Dementia Friends Ambassador for the Alzheimer's Society.

Residents and family members all sat out in the sun enjoying morning coffee and cake as Rosalynn thanked the Badgeworth team and families for supporting the summer fair, with a special mention to our receptionist Michelle, whose tenacity and hard work sourced some wonderful raffle prize donations which made the raffle such a success.

Jackie introduced herself and her role for the Alzheimer's Society. Not only is Jackie part of an advisory team in Cheltenham running information sessions, but she also a fund raiser for the society including running half marathons. Jackie also spoke about the work of the charity which includes research, advancing diagnosis and treatment as well as lobbying parliament to ensure those who need care are getting the right care for them.

The home have raised a fantastic £408.50 for this very important cause and it is a charity close to our hearts we will continue to support.

Tea with a Pony

Badgeworth Court visited Cheltenham racecourse to have ‘tea with a pony’ with the Cotswold Riding for the Disabled.  It was such an enjoyable afternoon and for our residents it revisited memories from their childhood. Our resident Mima told us that ‘it was a lovely afternoon I so enjoyed getting to meet the ponies’.

Badgeworth Court would like to say a huge thank you to all the team at Cotswold Riding for Disabled, they made us feel very welcome!
