Activities at Broadway Halls Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Scott Bates

Activities Coordinator

Hi I'm Scott, and I am privileged to be the Activities Co-ordinator at Broadway Halls.

Our Residents are special people with many wonderful stories to tell about their lives, and it is my job to understand their life history, their interests and theirs needs in order to deliver a person centred life enrichment programme.

I enjoy putting smiles on their faces as often as I can. I love to entertain and aim to ensure that every resident's interests and hobbies are supported. I have worked in care and in activities in previous roles, and I love my job!

Outside of work, I am busy being a Father, I try to play football and have a keen interest in metal detecting.

National Scrabble Day

We would like to say a Massive thank you to Edgbaston Beaumont for inviting us to their scrabble tournament for national Scrabble Day. Residents had great fun meeting new people, enjoyed a delicious lunch in company and had a great time socialising with everyone involved, our Resident Joyce came 1st she was so proud of herself well done.

The Grand National

A Trip Down Memory Lane

We took a trip to Hollybush Garden Centre & Aquaria where we visited Bygone Sweet Shop.

A nice trip down memory lane! Residents looked around the aquarium and reptiles then visited the wonderful shops and seeing the beautiful flowers while eating their sweets.

What a lovely day!

Easter Stones Hunt

Children & families searched for Easter decorated stones which residents had painted. Residents spent many hours painting & decorating the stones, some got involved with hiding the stones over Priory park. The stones were exchanged for gifts when brought to our home, it was fabulous to see so many smiles!

Amazing School Visit for World Book Day

Broadway halls visited a local primary school on 6th March for world book day. Children from years 2-5 read their favourite books to the residents, it was a great experience for both children and resident. Our residents couldn’t believe how much primary school has changed since they were young.

Special Visit from Local School

We enjoyed a brilliant afternoon with a special visit from Bramford Primary school, children from years 1, 2 & 3 put on a great show singing songs to residents, their family members & our team, we all loved it and hope they visit again soon.
