Activities at Broadway Halls Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Scott Bates
Hi I'm Scott, and I am privileged to be the Activities Co-ordinator at Broadway Halls.
Our Residents are special people with many wonderful stories to tell about their lives, and it is my job to understand their life history, their interests and theirs needs in order to deliver a person centred life enrichment programme.
I enjoy putting smiles on their faces as often as I can. I love to entertain and aim to ensure that every resident's interests and hobbies are supported. I have worked in care and in activities in previous roles, and I love my job!
Outside of work, I am busy being a Father, I try to play football and have a keen interest in metal detecting.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Broadway Halls Care Home

Bonfire Night
It may have been a day after Bonfire Night but we still fully enjoyed our Live Entertainment from Debbie Miles & Fireworks display yesterday. Everybody enjoyed an Traditional Black Country dish, Grey Peas and Bacon to start Followed by Hot Chocolate and Baileys and then we were ready for the Firework display!
Thank you for everyone who came and supported the event. The wonderful colours, sparkles, crackles and sounds got everyone to the big open windows on all floors to watch from inside and stay warm.
Some Residents braved the cold and rain to light a sparkler for a few minutes.. it brought back so many memories.

Diwali Celebrations
On Friday we celebrated Diwali.. with our very own party with Bollywood dancers and a Indian cuisine buffet. Staff, residents, family and friends, students of Dudley College and people from local community joined in the fun.

Remembrance Sunday
Remembrance Sunday Well done Dudley borough for organising it. Our residents enjoyed the parade, a Big thank you to Marco Longhi MP for your help and support for making the residents wishes come true and being part of the wonderful service. Another great turnout from the community of Dudley and surrounding area.

Live Entertainment with Family and Friends Debbie Miles
Here at Broadway Halls it’s always fun when residents , staff and families come together. Today with the lovely Debbie Miles we really enjoyed a good old sing along. The men had everyone laughing when they did their best impression of Staus Quo and Rockin all over the world.

Trip to the theatre - Full Monty
Residents at Broadway Halls were treated to the 'Full Monty' at Brierley Hill Civic Hall. A cast member of the show is one of our district nurses that come to our home. It was great evening of entertainment!

Narrowboat trip
Yesterday Residents was treated to a narrowboat trip from the money raised from our charity cake sale and car wash event.
Our journey took us from Calf Heath to Coven in Staffordshire on the way we had hot drinks crisps and chocolate. We stopped near The Anchor Inn which was lovely inside and definitely worth a visit. 1pm arrive and we had Fish and Chips delivered to the narrowboat they was delicious.
On the way back we had a singalong and a few games and cake. Residents enjoyed the scenery of the countryside from the narrowboat even saw sheep, cows, geese, ducks, a heron, squirrels and fish.
We had the experience of going in a canal lock and how it worked.
