Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Elain Carey
Hi. My name is Elain and I help to deliver the daily programme of activities and entertainment and celebrations - there is always a birthday to celebrate! I like to see residents making friends and chatting with each other. I have a background in dance, music and acting, and I am also a qualified Zumba instructor, so I love it when we have entertainers in the home. We also have regular visits by therapy pets which residents find very relaxing.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home

National Earth Day
On Saturday 22nd April we celebrated Earth Day by revisiting the many David Attenborough 'Planet Earth' programs and documentaries. This years' of World Earth Day 2023 is "Invest in Our Planet".
Our residents enjoyed watching, and discussing what can be done to save the planet and if there were anyways in which we could help towards a sustainable future within the home?
Watch this space... we will certainly try to implement any new ideas.

10 Year Service for Barbara
We had the absolute pleasure of presenting Barbara Head; our wonderful Care Home Assistant Practitioner (CHAP) with her prestigious Barchester Long Service Award in celebration of working at Claremont Parkway for 10 years!
Please join us in congratulating her on achieving this amazing milestone. Barbara started within Claremont Parkway as a carer and worked progressively towards becoming a CHAP. Through hard work, dedication and training, Barbara has become a true asset to the team, committed to the care of our residents and their continued wellbeing.
Natalie Maxwell, General Manager of Claremont Parkway said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 10 years of loyal service with Barbara. She has demonstrated her dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents, year after year. Barbara is a real team player and very supportive of her colleagues a ‘sister’ to everyone, and respected by all.
We hope she takes time for herself to enjoy the chocolates, flowers and enjoys spending the voucher. I, and the team at Claremont Parkway look forward to many more years of working with Barbara.”

They love these sessions, it's gives them a great start to the day.

Boogie with Singers
Who doesn't love a little 'shake, rattle and roll'?
It's always a pleasure to be entertained by the mother & daughter duo; Lesley Ann & Katie Rose. They sing all the classics our residents know and everyone gets to sing along and have a good old boogie.
Thank you ladies for another fantastic Claremont Parkway performance. Claremont Parkway care home provides a varied life enrichment programme tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter from all at Claremont Parkway. The Easter bunny hopped in to deliver chocolate eggs and treats for our residents to enjoy. It was smiles all round from these lovely ladies as they woke to find their yummy chocolate surprize.
