Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Target practice

It's great to be exercising when you don't realise you are doing it. Our new target game is a big hit with residents at Claremont Parkway and really good for stretching and moving upper body joints.

A Jubilee to remember

The Claremont Parkway Jubilee Party was a wonderful occasion. We enjoyed lots of party food, visits from families, and entertainment from mother and daughter singing duo Lesley Ann and Katie Rose. We also visited Windermere Nursery to join in with the children's celebrations. Congratulations your Majesty!

A trip to Mexico

Our monthly armchair travel destination for May was Mexico, which was chosen by residents at Claremont Parkway. We enjoyed delicious Mexican food made by Vera our Chef, including guacamole, empanadas and some lovely sweet churros. We learned about historic sites and famous Mexican people. Then we listened to Mexican music and enjoyed games with a twist. Fun was had by all.

Singing along with Katie Rose

We had a fantastic afternoon at Claremont Parkway when Katie Rose and Lesley Ann joined us again to perform for us. They are so interactive and engaging which residents love. We sing along and dance as well.

Some tiny visitors

Today Claremont Parkway welcomed Lucia’s Tiny Farm. The little visitors included some calm, soft guinea pigs, a rabbit, Bernard the bearded dragon, Pepper the tortoise and our favourite...Ethel the chicken. It was the best afternoon of pet therapy you could ask for. We enjoyed lots of cuddles, feeding and grooming with our new friends.

Lovely entertainment with Jenny

We love it when Jenny comes to visit Claremont Parkway. We were dancing, clapping and singing along.
