Activities at Hampton Grove Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

I started working for Barchester in October 2020. The team here at Hampton Grove have made me feel welcome. No day is ever the same here.

My varied daily activities and events help to create a stimulating engagement programme to enhance the quality of life for each resident within the home.

Celebrating Chinese New Year

Yesterday we celebrated the beginning of the Chinese Lunar year with a party for our residents. They spent the morning doing activities related to the new year like puzzles and crafts, and in the afternoon they all got to try different Chinese street foods. For dinner, the kitchen cooked a traditional Chinese meal which they all loved. There was even a special appearance by a Chinese dragon!

Chinese Dragon Arts & Crafts

In preparation for the Chinese New Year, the residents have spent the last couple of weeks building their own Dragon! From designing, to creating templates, painting and building the gigantic head our residents have had so much fun - isn't the outcome amazing!

Play Your Cards Right

Hampton Grove play your cards right, we had the residents calling out high or low having so much fun, we also spent time reminiscing about the old game shows we used to watch in our younger days.

Fun and Games at Hampton Grove

Hampton Grove play your cards right, we had the residents calling out high or low having so much fun, we also spent time reminiscing about the old game shows we used to watch in our younger days.

And we also enjoyed Scrabble club, keeping our brains active and making us think of new and challenging words. The residents enjoyed competing against one and other to get the highest score.

Chocolate Cake Day!

The 27th January is Chocolate Cake Day so what better way to celebrate that decorate our own cakes! We had all of the different chocolate toppings along with sprinkles, chocolate chips and marshmallows! Our residents enjoyed creating them and then eating them at tea!

Boxing Day Deliveries

On Boxing Day, we had a delivery from The Shoe Box Appeal and Santa for our lovely residents. Boxes filled with socks, puzzle, books, pens, gloves, hats, sweets and lots more were given to our residents. A massive thank you to the shoe box appeal for this lovely treat!
