Activities at Middletown Grange Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. We aim to provide a variety of activities that will both mentally and physically stimulate the people we support. Residents have a range of different needs and interests, and it is crucial that these are reflected in the activities available, so that each individual is able to participate to the best of their ability. We organise both group and individual social events that everyone is welcome to take part in; there is a weekly outing to local places of interest, including the garden centre and the local farms, parks and museums. In addition, we enjoy regular visits from entertainers and even exotic animals. We also host events such as 'Beach Day' that relatives and friends are encouraged to participate in. Getting involved in charities is a big part of our ethos, so events such as 'PJs for Pudsey' and pirate-themed days are regularly hosted to raise money for different foundations, including the Alzheimer’s Society.

A trip to Millet's Farm

We had a lovely trip out this week to Millets Farm to see the animals. We packed up a delicious picnic helped by our chef and headed out for the day taking in the sites of some lovely farm animals, along with feeding them and enjoying the beautiful countryside. We even treated ourselves to an ice cream before heading back to tell everyone about our day.

Ball Exercise Class with Alfie

Exercise and mind stimulation is important for all of us. That's why we love to have Alfie come down with his ball class for us at Middletown Grange. Whether it be throwing, kicking or catching it helps us keep fit, but more importantly keeps us moving even on days when we dont quite feel up to it! Thanks Alfie and see you

again soon.
