Activities at Middletown Grange Care Home
We aim to provide a variety of activities that will both mentally and physically stimulate the people we support. Residents have a range of different needs and interests, and it is crucial that these are reflected in the activities available, so that each individual is able to participate to the best of their ability. We organise both group and individual social events that everyone is welcome to take part in; there is a weekly outing to local places of interest, including the garden centre and the local farms, parks and museums. In addition, we enjoy regular visits from entertainers and even exotic animals. We also host events such as 'Beach Day' that relatives and friends are encouraged to participate in. Getting involved in charities is a big part of our ethos, so events such as 'PJs for Pudsey' and pirate-themed days are regularly hosted to raise money for different foundations, including the Alzheimer’s Society.

What a lunchtime treat we had, after a beautiful walk around Hailey Village we popped into the local pub The Lamb and Flag for s pot of lunch with our friends. We lovely getting out in the village and seeing everyone and the food was fantastic as always. Thank you so much to the team at The Lamb and Flag for your hospitality as always.
Garden Games
It was lovely to be able to get out in our garden this weekend and take part in some outdoor games. We always try to bring as much variety to our life enrichment programme here at Middletown Grange and even the little things can make such a difference to the lives of the people we look after here.
Celebrating Culture Day
As part of celebrating life here at Middletown Grange, staff dressed up for the day to celebrate Culture Day, bringing in homemade food and taking part in traditional games from around the world. The residents loved seeing everyone dressed up and trying different foods from all over the world
Our Monthly Friday Coffee Morning
What a wonderful day for our Friday Coffee Morning Club in the sunshine! A huge thank you to Doreen and Julia for laying on a lovely tea and cake morning, with special thanks to the kitchen for producing some beautiful cakes. Our residents loved it and it was lovely to see some of our families join in. Our Coffee Morning happens every third Friday of the month with the next one happening on Friday 21st June 10:00am-12:00pm. You are all welcome to come along and join us.
Retail Therapy
Here at Middletown Grange we all love a bit of retail therapy. We have been out and about this week visiting Sainsbury's for shopping and then relaxed in Starbucks having tea and cake before returning to go to Hailey Village Hall for lunch and a special talk from the police on how to avoid scams. It was really interesting and insightful.
The Sun is Shining
At last the big bright yellow beam of light has arrived in the gardens! Its so nice to sit outside for our breakfast and coffee mornings. Lets hope this weather sticks around for a bit for us all to enjoy. Lunch outside anyone?
