Activities at Newton House Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

We’ve had live music with the fabulous Dave Cox from Carehome entertainment, delicious homemade cakes by our wonderful kitchen team, bubbles, candy floss, dancing and an all-around amazing afternoon We also enjoyed a beautiful performance from our fabulous resident Mike, who sang a duet with Dave, singing “you’ll never walk alone”. Sweet Angels Visit

A huge thank you to Sweet Angels, for visiting our lovely home. Residents were thrilled to see the children’s little faces as soon as they walked through the door, and it wasn’t long before Joyce started singing to them. The children then sang one of their favourites song and everyone applauded them, it was just so beautiful and heartwarming to see. With fun and games outside, singalongs and chats, it proved to be a wonderful experience for both residents and the children. We are already looking forward to their next visit!

Wolfie and Baby Lacey Visit

Thank you so much to Leanne Bowers for arranging her wonderful mum Jane Price to bring in Wolfie and beautiful baby Lacey. This was a surprise for our lovely residents, and they were thrilled as soon as they saw them. Wolfie had lots of treats and showed what a clever boy he is with his giving of paws, and Lacey had lots of cuddles and enjoyed being sang too. A beautiful activity for them all.
