Activities at Waterside Court Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Hi, my name is Blerta. I am the Activities Coordinator here at Waterside Court. I joined the team in February 2024.
I absolutely love my role, and I'm passionate about creating meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of our residents.
Every day is different, and our life enrichment program brings out my creative side, which I share with everyone.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Waterside Court Care Home
Lunar New Year
Our residents had a great time with the Lunar New Year supper. Had fun reading the fortune cookies, it’s so great to see how residents get involved in other cultures too!
Bits & Bobs Playgroup
We had a great first session with Bits & Bobs Playgroup. It was lovely to meet the babies and toddlers as well as their parents. The residents absolutely loved this visit.

Movie Night!
'Here we go again....' Mamma Mia at the Pictures!
Here we have our residents queuing up for their movie tickets, ready for an afternoon fun of Mamma Mia, we all had a great time singing along to ABBA songs and the movie itself was a good end to the day.
Cross Stitching Club
Here we have some of our lovely residents coming together doing some fantastic work of Cross Stitching followed by warm beverages and our famous Waterside Court Cupcakes. Look at those concentrated faces!

Fantastic Post- Modern Show by the Fabulous Fiona Harrison. Thank you for the wonderful performance, it's always an absolute pleasure having Fiona perform at Waterside Court, the residents thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
Happy New Year
What a lovely morning we had celebrating our countdown to NOON. we shared past stories and lots of laughter followed by our Chef’s famous chocolate cupcakes.
We would like to wish everybody a Happy New Year and hope you have a year of laughter and happiness.
