Activities at The Wingfield Care Home
Here at The Wingfield our activities team provide a varied and interesting range of activities for all residents. We are registered with the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) and we take pride in delivering activities that will enhance residents lives and bring happiness and a sense of purpose. Our cooking activities are very popular, as well as the regular book clubs, coffee mornings, skittle matches and bus trips. We provide one to one support for those who are unable to attend activities and we have tea dances, musicians, quizzes, music and movement, as well as our giant scrabble board! But most importantly we have fun! Relatives are always welcome and there is always much laughter and smiling faces during our activities. We take pride in what we do and we continually strive to enhance residents lives through meaningful activity.

Life at The Wingfield Care Home
Creepy crawlies!
We were delighted to welcome the Tropical Discovery Workshops with Kris Freeman, head ranger. They offered residents a safe, fun, interactive & educational learning of wildlife & their environments from around the world!
Traditional Harvest Festival
The Wingfield celebrated the harvest festival with a service today. The occasion was marked with singing of hymns, light refreshments and sharing stories. We are delighted to welcome St. Thomas Church who led the whole Service.
Afternoon Duet!
We were delighted to welcome back Sian and Rob our Duets who are a favourite with residents. We all enjoyed being able to Sing-a-long to our much loved tunes, lots of clapping, tapping and smiley faces.
A visit from Florence!
Louise, a volunteer from Celebrating Age Wiltshire performed in our garden as Florence Nightingale. We had so much fun and laughter.
Delicious Wine Tasting!
We joined a virtual wine tasting event, hosted by our very own Hospitality Manager, Christophe Noel and special guests Lee Isaacs DipWSET and Nick Parker from Unity Wines and Spirits.
Lee talked us through tasting a number of wines starting with sparkling and white before moving to rosé and red. Lee provided us wth an insight into the history of wine, wine making, consumer attitudes, as well as a few tall tales and anecdotes from his 20 years in the trade.
Best of all we had plenty of opportunity to sample and choose our favourite!
A colourful afternoon!
Life needs colour - in our garden and in our home. We spent an afternoon creating patterns and pictures
