Activities at Silverbirch House Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Silverbirch House Care Home
Easter Arts and Crafts
It all got very creative today in our activities rooms! With the Easter weekend fast approaching, everyone is pitching in to make it memorable. Residents Marion and Nick did some amazing work on painting Easter eggs, crafting table centerpieces, and adorning flower arrangements.
Finding Zen at Barchester Silverbirch House!
Today was a day of peace and tranquillity as our residents immersed themselves in a rejuvenating yoga session led by the wonderful Anjali. Anjali brings a style of yoga that's all about openness and acceptance, guiding everyone to discover their own path to inspiration and truth. Whether it's through gentle stretches, calming breaths, or moments of deep reflection, each individual finds their unique journey from the comfort of our lounge chairs.
Thank you, Anjali, for sharing your wisdom and guiding us towards inner harmony!
Treanna performs live in the Silverbirch House Lounge
Silverbirch House welcomed Treanna for an intimate live performance in our lounge - With Bob our Resident ambassador and music enthusiast even being serenaded.
Our residents enjoyed a wide variety of cover songs from Treanna from the 60's to more recent times. Over a cup of tea and biscuits.
Barchester Silverbirch ‘BINGO BONANZA’
On Tuesday we linked up with all Barchester Care Homes and Hospitals across the country for Barchester’s Bingo Bonanza.
Residents enjoyed a vast array of snacks and drinks alongside the exciting virtual games of Bingo as part of Barchester’ very own game show series. Silverbirch came in as winners with Rosemary and Evelyn taking out some spot prizes.
6 Nations Rugby in the lounge with Lunch
Here at Silverbirch House we have been cheering on the England Team throughout the Six Nations.
A select group of key Rugby pundits gathered in one of our lounges to view the game on the big screen.
