Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Celebrating Romania Day at Silverbirch House!
Today, at Silverbirch House we celebrated Romania Day, honouring the vibrant culture of one of the many countries represented by our incredible team.
Cristina, our deputy manager, graced us in beautiful traditional Romanian attire! She also gave us a fascinating insight into Romanian customs and traditions and even shared some everyday Romanian phrases—now we know how to say “Mulumesc!” (Thank you)!

Employee of the Month – September 2024
Congratulations to our Head Chef, Samge Tamang, for being named Silverbirch House Care Home’s Employee of the Month!
With over 25 years of experience, including a career as a chef in the army, Samge brings passion and dedication to our kitchen everyday.

Mihaela's compassion, and commitment to providing outstanding care make a difference every day here at Silverbirch House. Fantastic to see her hard work and passion being recognised on such a recognised platform.

Arts, Crafts and Gratitude
Today, the residents of Silverbirch House decided to make it a day of appreciation! Using their arts and crafts skills, they created, personalised cards for one another, spreading a bit of gratitude. We always knew Bob was a gift but to emphasise the point today he decorated himself and thus became a "human card"
